How Will You Emerge From Your Quarantine?

1 Peter 5:10 (TPT) “And then, after your brief suffering, the God of all loving grace, who has called you to share in his eternal glory in Christ, will personally and powerfully restore you and make you stronger than ever. Yes, he will set you firmly in place and build you up.”

The past week, every time I pray, I keep hearing the word “reset”.

Pat and I have felt this stirring in our hearts all week. Reset us Lord! Reset our priorities and reset our focus! Reset our hearts to be fully devoted to you! I believe God is doing something powerful in the hearts and minds of His people. What are we doing in the waiting and in the quiet and in the isolated times?

It’s time to push and press in and lean in to hear the voice of the Father as He calls us deeper into His presence. How we emerge will be based on how we have used our reset. I’m challenging myself and everyone to use our reset to grow and to learn and to dive and dig deeper than we ever have before. Will we be ready for the harvest and the victory on the other side?

Will we emerge as Moses did where our countenance has changed having been in the very presence of God? Moses’ countenance changed in the isolation when it was just he and God. (Exodus 34:29) No outside influences, no outside voices or noise distracting him from listening to the one voice that truly mattered. No busyness to interrupt his pursuit of God. Busyness is not a spiritual gift and sometimes the world we’re so entangled in may need to slow down in order for us to catch our breath and reset and refocus, who we are and whose we are, and whether our focus is centered fully in the presence of the one who gives and restores our breath (Job 33:4).

My hearts cry is...I want more God! There has got to be more!! I want to see your Glory and be stronger and know you in a much more intimate way than ever before. What will we do with our waiting? I won’t waste the waiting. Let’s not waste this waiting season. Let’s emerge from this chrysalis with wings, not crutches. Not focusing on what you lost or missed, but rather what you found and what you gained. Emerge with strength, not bitterness or worry. With hope and not dread. With faith and not fear. With trust and not doubt. With purpose and not complacency. The word Chrysalis means “protected stage of development”. How will you emerge from your protected stage of growth?

I don’t want life to get back to normal or business as usual. I don’t want there to be anything normal or usual about it. I want it to be supernatural! Prepare our hearts for the victory and change and growth, God!
